--» GWL Graphics Area Rules «--
Respect each others ability
Not everyone has years of experience and ability and thus graphics of different quality will of course be common. People new to making graphics appreciate help, encouragement and advice, telling them their work sucks or something similar isn't being useful nor will it be tolerated - everyone is capable of producing good work, help them to do that.
--» Give decent rates
Ratings with only one sentence aren't useful. When giving a rate try to be as detailed as possible, giving pointers and opinions along the way. Simply putting "It's O.K, 7/10" won't be appreciated by anyone and doesn't contribute to anything. If you have nothing to say about a graphic don't post in its thread. Constructive criticism is a key part of rating a sig if you think it isn't very good, if you do dislike something say why you do and give pointers on improvement if you can.
--» Don't advertise your work in someone else thread
When someone puts their work up for rates the last thing they want to see is a reply from another member advertising their own work, for example "check out my thread and rate my work." If they want to they will, you won't do yourself any favors by advertising your own work outside of your own thread.
--» Have patience when requesting a sig
People who fill graphics requests have lives to lead, so abide by the three day bumping rule. Threads will be locked if people become impatient or bump their requests early.
--» A few other quick pointers
If you're unhappy about not getting rates encourage it yourself by rating graphics yourself. People will generally return the favor if you rate their work.
Flaming/spamming/trolling is not allowed, threads will be locked if anything like that happens and the offending member contacted and dealt with accordingly.
Please don't post nude or offensive graphics. By offensive I mean drug related, racially charged, excessive violence and so on. If you're unsure on whether a graphic can be posted contact a member of staff.
Member request threads are welcome, although they won't be stickied until they become popular.
We don't like handing out warnings but they will be used if necessary, as will temporary bans under extreme circumstances.
If you have any questions about these rules or anything else to do with the graphics are feel free to contact a member of staff.
